I started off the cold week making a delicious pot of white bean and chicken chili. It's very light, full of lean protein and fiber. It was a big hit in the Ward house.

We took a trip to the Muttart Conservatory in downtown Edmonton. I had never been there before and I'm really wondering why. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous in the fall, but that's not even the best part, it's an underrated greenhouse set up with five biomes of different climates and it showcases all the native plants and flowers to each climate...I realize I sound like a teacher trying to sell the field trip to her un-enthused students. But it was really nice and actually very interesting.
The pretty fall colors.
Great view of downtown.
On Wednesday, I got to hang out with the Ible girls for the afternoon. They helped me make some yummy cookies, they are the best little bakers! And Kathy sent with them their cutest little chef outfits. I think you'll agree, these girls are pretty adorable.
Kira helping measure the dry ingredients.
And Taylor got to stir. Thanks girls!
And Saturday was a busy one. Nate went into work, I went to Sherwood Park to help the Ible's move into their new home. And later that night...we went to an Oiler's game! We were so lucky, one of Nate's hockey buddies from when we were in Manchester surprised us with club seat tickets for the game against Vancouver. The Oiler's ended up losing the game by one, but at least we could say we were there for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' first NHL career hat-trick. Thanks Mulley for the tickets!!

What a week. Today I'm playing catch-up...cleaning, laundry, blogging, and I managed to make some homemade pizza dough for dinner tonight. Time to start another busy week. Have a great Monday everyone!
