Fall is my favorite time of year and Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Moving to Canada meant, among other things, a second Thanksgiving. Not sure what I love most about the holiday, perhaps the stuffing or cranberry sauce. Its not the turkey, in fact, I could do without the turkey altogether. Maybe its the mashed potatoes or the pies. On both sides of the family, I am the designated pie baker. Its something I love to do. This year it was coconut cream and
of course, pumpkin. This was also a great opportunity to dig out my favorite oven mitts, also known as the upper and lower peninsulas.
Pure Michigan...pure genius.
