Telling you I love music would be an understatement. But I'm not great at expressing feelings of love so you'll just have to take my word for it. Music is a huge part of my life. I wish I was a musical person, I played piano for a few years when I was in middle school, that doesn't count for much. Nate and I are always turning up the tunes that usually end up in dance parties for two and we have a pretty similar taste in music. There is music however that I just cannot stomach...angry music, you know the stuff thats always screaming in your ear, not for me. Also, techno I just can't do it, the way my whole body shakes from the beat literally gives me a stomach-headache one-two punch. Early Eminem...nope. I actually love his new stuff, but Slim Shady reminded me of that annoying wangsta we all went to high school with. Oh, and sorry to all you country fans, but if I hear one more country song about whiskey, beer, broken hearts, dirt roads, muddy water, trucks, torn blue jeans, I might puke. I can't stand the monotonous subject or that annoying country twang. Oh, I'm so sorry I'm sure I've offended country fans everywhere...I should brace myself. Country fans are hard-core. I feel better getting that off my chest though. Thanks for listening. Don't hate me.
To give you an idea of what we're listening too now, I'll share some youtube tunes. Its amazing the amount of music on youtube, you can find anything. Old Bon Jovi music videos are amongst my favs. His dreamy, feathered hair...sigh.
We Are Young by fun. His voice gives me goosebumps. I love the Donnie Wahlberg parallel. The radio edit has such a great beat and is usually my go-to, but I have a thing for acoustic cuts.
Colours by Grouplove. Strange video, great song.
Somebody I Used To Know by Gotye. A melodic mix between Peter Cetera and The Police.
