All things cupcakes! Seriously, its pretty bad...lemme esplain, I love desserts, cakes, candies, you know all the good stuff...and I feel with cupcakes you get the best combo of all things dessert in one perfect little package. So naturally while wandering the worldwide web, I deviate towards these "best of" baked goods. While reading a few baking blogs, I stumbled upon Bird's Party Blog where she gives a tutorial on how to display your homemade delights {don't laugh, but I believe the only thing cooler than making a beautiful cupcake is placing it on a really cool pedestal, literally}.

So I just had to make these stands for my latest batch of cupcakes. Its so simple to do! Bird's Party gives all the info you'll need to try them out. I had technical difficulties downloading the template so I have a suggestion, print the image below, when your printer preferences pops up, scale the image to 165%, then apply and print, this will give you the exact dimensions to perfectly fit your cupcake. The base should be at least 3 inches in diameter.

The materials you will need:
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Sturdy cardstock {and you don't have to print the template onto the cardstock, just print it on a regular sheet of white paper and make cut-outs to trace onto the cardstock, I know it adds a step, but I only had 12x12 cardstock on hand}
Pen

I hope you try them out, they take no time at all, and are adorable ways to display your cupcakes! I'll leave you with a photo of my very own creation.  The cupcake is a lemon cake with lemon filling and lemon-cream cheese frosting. And I was too excited to add a cupcake sleeve to make it even prettier.
