Lately

Our daily life is certainly not a blockbuster, but we've been having some fun lately. We took in an impromptu Muse concert the other night. Nate and I were both blown away as they put on the most incredible rock show. Easily the best concert we've been to...and we've seen Bon Jovi... that's got to count for something, right? We left the arena feeling all-empowered and strangely as though we were capable of leading a rebellion into the war against corrupt power. Reality set in as we realized we were just heading back to our sedan in the dead of winter...talk about taking the wind out of your sails.

Over the weekend, we tackled our to-do list that had been staring us in the face since the New Year. We started by organizing our life's paperwork that was towering to a skyscraper in our dining room. You might be wondering why I categorize this as "fun", but admit it, there's nothing like the feeling you get once you're finished. Staring at those neat piles of shred, recycle, and keep gives me goosebumps. Muse playing in the background motivated me to keep going, and since I couldn't overthrow the government, I decided to organize our closets and cupboards instead. Then I finished a couple books, experimented with coconut oil as I sautéed in the kitchen, and we finished off the weekend with a game night. Nate and I learned a long time ago that we cannot play games together. However, we put our differences behind us and added tequila to the mix and ended up having a great time. Nate might debate that point, he lost.

1. Game night dominating our coffee table 2. My completed pie, I win!

  2. Sounds like you two have been livin the dream :)
Luda and I saw Muse play at MSU a few years ago--and although it isn't my style of music, the show was beyond incredible, and easily one of the best concerts I have ever seen! Miss you xoxo
