Home Is...
...where the heart is. Anyone could finish that sentence. I have a difficult time breaking it down though. I've been travelling all day. In the restricted confines of air travel, people get a little nosey. I like to keep to myself for the most part, but today I am learning that is not the case for everyone. I was asked a lot of questions today and in some cases offered advice. Does it bother anyone else to receive advice when you are not asking for it? People keep telling me home is where you make it, home is where the heart is. Clearly they know everything and all circumstances of love and the idea of home. Call me an exception then, I have two homes. One is dug deep in the roots of my upbringing in a small town, with a big, boisterous, emotional, huggy family. The other is built out of a real, soul mate kind of love, 1700 miles away from the first. So, yes, I have two homes and I believe it is possible for a heart to be in two places at once. It doesn't mean I love one less. If you see me in an airport, leave me be please, its most likely been a long day and I cannot be held responsible for what comes out of my mouth. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteJess, that was a beautiful post. Thank you for sharing! She described exactly what I am feeling even better than I could.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly where you are coming from! ...and trust me, airports aren't the best places for someone to run into me either. Especially now, when I'm leaving one or the other place with tears in my eyes and I'm trying to be calm, cool, and collected with an infant.
ReplyDeleteYou are the best. I love your mind & Heart...Glad your home:)
ReplyDeleteKelly! I can only imagine how my experience could have been even more trying with a baby. I hope your next trip home goes smoothly :)
ReplyDeleteKathy, I love yours too friend. And I missed you :)
