The Wedding: Part II

The ceremony was everything we hoped it would be.  We asked a very close family friend, Boon, to officiate for us.  I would recommend to anyone asking a friend to do the task.  It made it all more meaningful.  We also had the freedom to write our own ceremony from start to finish.  It was personal and thoughtful and meant the world to us.  We hand picked our readings from classical poetry and wrote a prayer for my grandpa to read just before we were pronounced husband and wife.  There were moments of happy tears and laughter scattered throughout the ceremony.  The location was everything, at my grandparents home on Lake Superior, where I grew up and where Nate proposed marriage one year before.  I get goosebumps when I think of all that beach means to us.  All images below are from the wonderful Vienna Glenn Photography.
