My Best Friends

These girls have been in my life since we were little nerds in middle school.  Then we were awkward nerds in junior high, then cool nerds in high school.  But we made nerd look real good.  Every year together, we became closer and closer.  I had the best friends around.  We were good kids too, the worst trouble we ever got into together was usually of the boy nature.  We broke a lot of hearts.  We grew up and moved far away from each other.  Dani lived in the Chicago area for a long time and just recently moved back to lower Michigan and Jillian moved to St. Paul, Minnesota.  Desi and I moved to another country.  She moved to Calgary to settle down with her husband and daughter...then a few short months after that, I moved to Edmonton to settle down with my Albertan husband.  Who would have thought we would be living in Alberta?  I think we both thought we would never leave our sisters...let alone Michigan...or the United States.  We were all reunited for the wedding, it was long overdue.  We all get back home when we can, but its so rare that we are all in the same place at the same time anymore.  I just love them.  I wish I could be with them all the time.  I miss my best friends.  I miss making ridiculous dance videos to the music of Destiny's Child and Jay-Z.  Jill can bust out Big Pimpin' better than Jay-Z himself and Desi has a legit routine to Beck's Loser.  I miss basketball practice and summer tournaments when we called ourselves Charlie's Angels.  I miss dressing up and taking our version of glamour shots.  I miss it all.  Here are my beautiful friends.  Again, the photos are from the crazy talented Vienna Glenn.
