Bohindia

I have been contemplating themes and color schemes for our wedding next summer, by "I", I mean "we", with as much testosterone as he can muster, Nate nods in agreeance for just about everything I suggest.  My sister would tell you that I am a neutral nancy and I can't argue.  My wardrobe is full of ivory, beige, grey, and black.  But I am a closet color freak.  There's something about deep purples, bright oranges, pink pinks...I can't get enough.  And what better opportunity to express my love for color, than our wedding.

I had started buying decorating supplies a while back.  The other day I was going through the boxes of paper stacks, ribbons, pieces for the tables...and it hit me.  The colors reminded me of India, not that I've been there, but I do know they have a love for vibrant colors.  Then I remembered something my unofficial expert decorator, Boon, said to me as I was showing her my collection..."its almost Bohemian."  So I think I came up with a plan that includes my love for different patterns, prints, and paisley, with the bright colors of India.  I call it Bohindia.

Its difficult for me to explain any further so I will translate with pictures.  Theses are images I'm in love with and come close to the decorating scheme I(we) am(are) going for.

In love with these paper stars.  Find them here.
