Bikini Bliss

I just had the most amazing bathing suit shopping experience ever, I could not wait to tell you about it.  First of all, I must give you some insight on really how much I despise trying on bathing suits...its one of those things I will put off for years, yes you heard me, years!  My friends can contest, I still own and wear several bathing suits I purchased way back in high school.  It broke my heart to throw one of them away last summer, because the bottoms were more see-through than necessary after the fabric began to wear away.  I wore them with pride until it turned into a peep show.  What I dislike the most is that I have no boobies and a bountiful bum.  So to find a suit that fits my top parts without leaving yards of excess fabric for them to get lost in and then considering the bottoms have to accommodate Mount Everest...ughhh I get stressed just thinking about it.  And let's be honest, there is nothing flattering about trying on suits in a store.  Maybe its the worst invention ever, fluorescent lighting or the fun house mirrors that lead you to believe you are ten pounds smaller, you get the point, I hate shopping for swimwear.

Heading out to the shopping world today, I had very little hope of success.  And just when I thought I had given up bathing suit shopping for another year...a miracle happened.  I picked out the right combination of colors and sizes, went to the fitting room anticipating disaster.  I tried on the top first...fit me like a glove...good start, then the bottoms...I could have cried, happy tears of course...It fit perfectly!  I had found my bathing suit!  And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I took my treasures, with a smile on my face, up to the counter to pay...and they were on SALE!  So, not only what this the best bathing suit ever, but I paid dollars for it!  Thank you Old Navy!
