Apples!
As you all may know by now, fall is my absolute favorite time of year...and Nate's too...its hockey season. Remember the first time you realized who Santa was and you couldn't wait until Christmas so he could bring you presents...yeah imagine that. But hockey is Santa and the child is now a grown man. I digress. Anyway, back to loving fall. Last week my friend Kathy shared some apples from her grandpa's apple tree and I just had to share them with you. Not only were they delicious, but they were so tiny and perfect. Thanks Kathy!
The only thing to improve upon these babies would naturally be caramel. So that was their fate...covered in caramel. A while back I found the perfect homemade caramel recipe so if you have a little extra time, its well worth it. If not, wrapped caramels will do, just be sure to add some cream to the caramels to make it nice and smooth. I'm going to get back to enjoying what little bit of fall there is left. I hear back home they have frost...think warm thoughts Michigan!
