Rest In Peace

Monday was a very sad day for the Ward family, they said goodbye to their amazing, compassionate, 15 year old doggie Hershey.  They knew well this day would come, but there is no amount of mental preparation that could ease their tremendous pain during his passing and for the months that will follow.  I have had the honor of knowing this incredible dog and it didn’t take long for him to steal my heart.  We hung out together every day while the others were at work and when the house is empty, I’m not afraid to turn up the tunes and break into performance…might have made a fool of myself, but Hershey would never judge, he just watched and the look in his eyes was screaming “who is this lady Nate keeps bringing home!”
Words cannot describe how much he will be missed.  He was my buddy, Gerald and Vera’s third son, and Nate’s best friend.  They lost a member of their family that day.  Rest in peace Hershey.

I must also wish a happy 27th birthday to a childhood friend of mine who passed away last November, her birthday was Tuesday.  So Shannon, if you see Hershey up there tell him we all said “HI” and be sure to scratch behind his ears, he loved that so much.  And may you too, rest in peace.
